At 9:19 a.m. on December 11, 2025, the main structure of the Science and Innovation Building of the Luoyang Institute of Technology Affiliated High School project, constructed by the Municipal Engineering Division of the Group Corporation, was successfully topped out. This milestone marks a significant phase of progress in the project’s construction, officially transitioning it into the stages of secondary structure and interior finishing.
The Science and Innovation Building project covers a total site area of approximately 90,700 square meters, with a total floor area of 15,312.56 square meters, including 12,489.07 square meters above ground and 2,823.49 square meters below ground. The main structure comprises six floors above ground and one underground level, featuring a scientifically planned functional layout. It is equipped with 60 underground parking spaces, providing a convenient and comfortable research and teaching environment for the school’s faculty and students. Concurrently, the project includes the planning and construction of a sports field area covering approximately 3,640 square meters, which will feature an ecological garden, leisure areas for teachers and students, and multiple volleyball and tennis courts. The overall design aims to create a modern campus space integrating teaching, research, and sports activities.
To ensure the successful completion of the topping-out milestone, the project team made advance preparations and implemented a scientifically organized construction plan. The final concrete pour was completed in the early hours of the same day, with technical and construction personnel monitoring the entire process. Real-time supervision and verification of the concrete condition and structural quality were conducted to ensure comprehensive control over construction quality. During the topping-out ceremony, representatives from the school leadership, the Municipal Education Bureau, the Urban Construction Center of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, as well as design, supervision, and construction units, jointly witnessed this significant achievement.
In his address, Zhang Yanqi, Principal of Luoyang Institute of Technology Affiliated High School, highly commended the project team for their professional technical capabilities, strong sense of responsibility, and efficient execution. He noted that the topping-out of the Science and Innovation Building not only represents a critical step in enhancing the school’s teaching facilities and improving its educational environment but also stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication of all participants involved in the project. He expressed hope that the subsequent phases of the project would continue to adhere to high standards and strict requirements, transforming the Science and Innovation Building into a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and modern space for teaching and research.
Since the project’s commencement, the project team has consistently adhered to the principles of "safety first, quality foremost," implementing refined management throughout the entire process. Every construction procedure has been strictly controlled to ensure steady progress, achieving a dual focus on both quality and schedule. The topping-out of the Science and Innovation Building has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent construction phases.
Moving forward, the Municipal Engineering Division will continue to uphold a rigorous, pragmatic, and meticulous work ethic.
