At 11:18 on March 10, 2025, the first piece of good news came from the Fengyang Conch Photovoltaic Technology Park — the ignition of the Line B kiln.
As the "heart project" of the hundred-billion-yuan silicon-based new material industry cluster, once the dual-kiln system of Conch Photovoltaic Technology is completed, it will produce 750,000 tons of photovoltaic glass annually, equivalent to providing "energy armor" for 15GW of new photovoltaic modules globally. This project, with an investment that has set a new record for Conch Group in the new energy sector, is transforming the local quartz ore resources with reserves of over 10 billion tons into green momentum to advance the "Double Carbon" strategy.
"At that time, standing on the unhardened construction site, we were stepping on the muddy ponds during the spring flood season, with suspended steel structures overhead — it was really like building a skyscraper in a swamp," recalled Project Manager Zhang Hongguang. When construction started last year, several participating units scrambled for work surfaces in the mud, and our furnace-building equipment even had to "sneak in" to construct under the scaffolding of the civil engineering units. Delays in equipment arrival and risks of cross-construction were like two swords of Damocles hanging over us. Facing harsh construction conditions, the project team rented several excavators to level the site in 72-hour shifts and laid hundreds of steel plates to create a construction guarantee line. During the most intense phase, over 500 builders operated in a "day-and-night" combat mode, striving to secure key milestones before the Spring Festival.
The dancing flames in the kiln not only smelt the base material for photovoltaic glass but also forge the survival philosophy of Henan Installation: "Undertake a project, set a benchmark, make a circle of friends, cultivate a team of talents, and expand a market." The construction team's hardworking attitude and strong professional competence left a deep impression on the client, laying a solid foundation for follow-up project operations. After the Lunar New Year, Henan Installation successfully undertook the 1.2 million-ton quartz ore purification project at the Fengyang Conch base.
