At 4:30 PM on April 16, 2026, the furnace crown of the Dongguan Xinyi Line F cold repair and technical modification project, undertaken by the Glass & Fiberglass Business Division, was successfully closed. This milestone marks a phased success for this cold repair line.

The Dongguan Xinyi Line F project was urgently launched in January 2026, with a tight schedule and a significant amount of extra work. Responding to the Business Division’s call, Site Manager Liu Xuemin immediately went to Dongguan to take charge, barely having time to recover from his busy schedule just after completing work on the Wuhu Electronics Line 1 Project. Other management personnel also reported directly to their posts without taking any leave. From the very start of site preparation, the project team faced multiple challenges: Xinyi’s complex administrative procedures, strict on-site management, difficult communication with external coordination units, a complicated construction environment, extensive use of existing facilities requiring renovation, and high difficulty in cross-trade coordination. External conditions were equally demanding. The project site is located near the mouth of the Pearl River, close to the sea. While the sea breeze kept nights cool, the daytime heat and humidity were oppressive, creating a stifling working environment where workers would have their clothes soaked with sweat after even light activity.

Despite these challenges, the project team remained composed and proactive. They communicated effectively and amicably with the client and external coordination units, negotiating construction methods that saved both time and effort. Internally, the team made overall plans, coordinated well among all trades, refined work schedules, and worked backwards from key milestones. Where necessary, they put in extra hours. With safety and quality ensured, all tasks proceeded in an orderly manner. Now that the furnace crown has been successfully closed, a phased victory has been achieved.

Going forward, the project will continue to uphold the principles of safety first and quality foremost, and will keep striving to ensure that the ignition task is completed on schedule.
