The all-oxygen solar thermal ultra-clear float glass technical transformation project of Gansu Kaisheng Daming Energy Technology Co., Ltd., undertaken by the Group's Glass and Fiberglass Engineering Division, successfully completed its ignition ceremony. The blazing kiln fire pierced the harsh winter of the Gobi Desert, marking the official entry into the commissioning and operation phase of this key technical transformation project for solar thermal glass production in Northwest China, adding solid support to the country's new energy industry.
As a globally leading technical transformation project for solar thermal ultra-clear glass utilizing all-oxygen combustion technology, this project not only confronted the industry-wide challenge of upgrading all-oxygen float glass technology but also withstood the severe test of extreme low temperatures in the Gobi Desert of Northwest China. During the construction period, the lowest temperature in the Yumen area dropped below -25°C, posing significant challenges to kiln construction and refractory material installation. The Henan Installation project team rose to the occasion, breaking through difficulties with technological innovation and combating the cold with meticulous management, overcoming construction hurdles by "using residual steam to provide heating for the kiln."
