At 12:50 on January 12, 2022, the shell of ammonia synthesis tower in ammonia plant area was successfully lifted into position in Hubei Xin Yangfeng ammonia technical reform project, which was constructed by Chemical Engineering Department of Henan Province Installation Group, marking the successful completion of lifting the largest piece of equipment in the whole ammonia technical reform project, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent process pipeline construction and comprehensive construction.

The synthesis tower shell is 27 meters long, weighing 302 tons, and the foundation frame is 10 meters high. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the lifting operation, Xinyangfeng Synthetic Ammonia Technical Reform Project Department made many field surveys and measurements, planned ahead, organized carefully, coordinated and reasonably optimized the lifting plan, and finally determined the feasible plan of using 400-ton crawler crane as the main crane and two 300-ton automobile cranes as the tail crane, and using double vehicles to lift and deliver the tail for the construction.

However, in the real construction process, due to force majeure such as epidemic, untimely arrival of large equipment and high cost of crawler crane machinery, the project department actively took measures to solve the problem, communicated with the Party A constantly and adjusted the construction plan according to the actual situation of the project. 400-ton crawler crane has been on site since December 17, and in less than a month, it has completed R04501 ammonia synthesis tower, E04502 waste heat boiler, E04503 boiler water heater, E04506 cold exchanger, E04507 primary ammonia cooler, E04508 secondary ammonia cooler and 9 other large equipment. E04502 waste heat boiler, E04503 boiler water heater, E04506 cold exchanger, E04507 primary ammonia cooler, E04508 secondary ammonia cooler and other 9 pieces of large equipment lifting, the successful lifting of the 302-ton synthesis tower, once again demonstrated the excellent lifting strength of Henan Province Installation Group.
