From May 9th to May 18th, after a final push by Henan Installation personnel, the electrical commissioning of CR Power Xinjiang Zhongneng Shitoumei 2×1000MW Coal-fired Power Project and Xinjiang Huadian Hami 2×1000MW Coal-fired Power Project was successfully completed. This ensured the first-time successful energization of the 750kV booster station, achieving the official grid connection of the coal-fired power project. It marks the smooth operation of the power transmission system supporting the Hami-Chongqing ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Project.
In Hami, Xinjiang, the scorching sun and blazing heat of May did not deter the efforts of the Henan Installation commissioning team. In the critical days leading up to the successful energization of the booster station, they formed a joint task force, held special meetings, and developed targeted construction and commissioning plans. They focused on overcoming bottlenecks and challenges in the booster station’s construction and debugging, while actively coordinating with State Grid Northwest Branch and State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company to ensure all pre-energization preparations were completed on schedule.
During the energization process, the Henan Installation team remained at their posts, working closely with the Barkol Converter Station. Over three days, they executed 34 commissioning tests and completed 77 on-site operational tasks. Ultimately, all systems operated stably under voltage, with parameters meeting regulatory requirements.
